767,070. Coiling textile sliver. STEINWANDT, O., [trading as MANN MASCHINENFABRIK, C.]. Feb. 18, 1955 [Feb. 25, 1954], No. 4919/55. Class 120 (3). Sliver-coiling apparatus comprises a disc 1 which is rotated on a central pivot 2 by a wheel 3 engaging therewith frictionally or by gearing and has an eccentrically disposed pivot bearing 4 in which rotates a pin 4a provided on a flanged plate 5 carrying a sliver can. The vertical axis of the can moves in a circle around the pivot 2 but independent rotation of the can about its own axis is prevented by guiding mechanism 6 parallel links of which are pivotally connected at 6a, 6b to a stationary frame member 7 and at 6c, 6d by pins 8, 8<SP>1</SP>, to the plate 5.
