Abstract

782,882. Fluid-dispensing cabinets. GILBERT & BARKER MANUFACTURING CO.' Jan. 16, 1956, No. 1384/56. Class 116 A cable 33, Fig. 3, for supporting an - extra coil 26, Fig. 2, in the hose of a fluid dispensing apparatus, is retracted by a spring drum 36 which, together with a spring - biased swinging arm 35, is mounted on a cover 13 replacing the normal cover for the usual aperture 11 in the top of the dispensing cabinet. As illustrated the cover carries a support 44 from which a spindle 42 and a frame 39, 40, carrying the arm 35 are supported by bearings 46, 43. A spring 53 connected to a fork 47 pivoted to the spindle 42 biases the arm to its normal position. The drum 36 is mounted on a spindle 55 secured by a pin 58 in the spindle 42 and comprises separable halves 36, 37 housing a spring which is anchored to the spindle 55. The cable 33 is guided from the drum 'by rollers 64, 68 mounted in the arm and passes through a moulded nylon eye 76 which engages a rubber covered stop 80, 81 on the cable 33 to limit the extent of its retraction.
