785,339. Spring-drum apparatus for taking up slack in cables. HASSELBERG, S. G. June 10, 1955 [Jan. 21, 1955], No. 16820/55. Class 78 (2). Spring drum 1 is mounted in holder 2 rotatable on a vertical axis upon base plate 3 carried by castors 5. Portion 15 of the electric cable is connected to a current-consumer, is guided by swingable arm 16, and is wound on to a compartment of the drum; portion 13 of the cable is connected to the electric socket, is guided by arm 14, and is wound on to the other compartment of the drum, the two portions of the cable making an internal connection, so that the cable pays out when pulled.
