Abstract

870,372. Hose guides. JONES & CO. (ENGINEERING) Ltd., SAMUEL, and PHILLIPS, C. H. Aug. 16, 1957 [July 11, 1956], No. 21503/56. Class 99(2). A hose guide comprises a ring 1, fitted with freely rotatable rollers 2, for passage of a hose, and mounted for free rotation about an axis aligned with an arm 7 which is itself pivoted for movement about a vertical axis upon a bracket 14 adapted for attachment to a supporting surface adjacent the outer circumference of a hose reel carrying the hose in coiled form. The yoke member 3 carries a pair of wider rollers 5. The arm 7 comprises a tube which is telescopically engaged by a rod 9 and is provided with a series of holes 10 for a set screw 11. A stop member 15 is welded to the rod. The guide is secured to a rear wall of a recess above or below a hose reel axis 16 preferably at about waist level.
