In a liquid dispensing unit in which retriever mechanism including a cable 16 for storing the nozzle delivery hose 12 in an inverted loop, the cable end is secured to a short rod 36 pivoting perpendicularly to the hose axis in opposite recesses in two bracket halves 37 secured together by bolt 32 and dowels 30 so as to pivot about the hose axis in groove 24 formed by two semi-circular stalls 20 clamped at 22 around the hose.
