Abstract

836,319. Liquid dispensing apparatus. HILL, S. D. Dec. 29, 1958 [May 22, 1958], No. 16411/58. Class 102(1). A manually operated dispensing apparatus comprises a pump, mounted on a liquid container 31, having a piston 6 working in a cylinder 3 which draws liquid through a tail pipe 33 and delivers it through a spout 19. A finger-grip 1 extends from the end of the cylinder in a downward direction and a second-grip 7, pivoted to the finger grip at 12 extends upwards and engages the piston rod 5. The two grips are normally urged apart by spring means which may be a spring 20 acting on the piston. Alternatively the spring means may comprise a coil spring on the pivot 12 having a limb at each end engaging the finger grip 1 and second grip 7 respectively as in Fig. 3, (not shown).
