Abstract

896,726. Hose reels. TAYLOR, DUNFORD & CO., Ltd., JOHN. April 27, 1959 [April 28, 1958], No. 13449/58. Class 99(2). A hose guide comprises two rollers 10, 12 of concave profile mounted for free rotation about axes in a common plane so as to provide an oval aperture between them in that plane, and a member supporting the rollers, which is turnable about a first pivot in mounting means and also about a second pivot transverse to the first pivot. As shown, the rollers are journalled on parallel spindles 14, 16 carried by the parallel arms of a U-shaped fork member 18 provided with a reinforcing pad 40 rotatable on a pivot pin 38 mounted in a clevis 36; a pin 34 in the arms of the clevis is pivotable in a bracket 20 clamped on a pipe 32 which feeds water to the inner end of a hose coiled on a reel mounted on a fixed axis.
