Abstract

645,800. Hose reels. BECK & CO., Ltd., and SOAR, H. G. Oct. 18, 1948, No. 27006. [Class 99(ii)] [Also in Group XVIII] Apparatus for dispensing liquids includes a delivery hose F which is reeled and is provided with means for returning it automatically to the reeled position when it has been unreeled. A delivery pipe 12 leads to a pipe 14 mounted to rotate in bearings 16 and fixed to the hub 18 of the hose reel E, which has side cheeks 20 held apart by spacers 22 which form the nave on which the hose is wound. The means for returning the hose include a pulley 38 fixed to the hub 18 and a counterweight arranged to slide in guides and attached to a belt 34 which passes round a guide pulley and is fastened to the pulley 38. The inner end of the hose is connected to the hub 18 so as to be in communication with the pipe 14 through passages 24, 26 in the hub, which passages are connected through a sight discharge indicating glass 28. Specification 645,801 is referred to in the Provisional Specification.
