Abstract
One of the two co-operating parts of a valve, namely the closure member or its seat, is made from an alloy comprising: nickel 64-70 per cent, manganese 0.3-2 per cent, impurities not more than 0.3 per cent, copper balance; or nickel 63-70 per cent, aluminium 2-4 per cent, iron up to 2 per cent, manganese up to 1 per cent, silicon up to 0.5 per cent, carbon up to 0.25 per cent, other metals not more than 1 per cent, copper balance.
