Abstract

In a ternary alloy of zinc, tin and aluminium the ratio of zinc to tin is between 3.0384 and 3.75 and the quantity of aluminium added to 94.5-95 parts of the tin and zinc mixture in the said ratio is 0.15-6.9 parts. The zinc used may contain impurities such as lead or sulphur, the proportions of metal added being then adjusted accordingly.
