Abstract
The surfaces of aluminium articles are treated by tinning with a solder of composition 70 to 90 per cent tin, 0 to 30 per cent zinc and 0 to 10 per cent cadmium. Aluminium sheathed cables may be joined by "wiping" with a plumber's solder, comprising 60 per cent lead, 37.5 per cent tin and 2.5 per cent antimony.
