Abstract

A brazing alloy consists of silver from 36.6 to 41.6 per cent, copper in an amount such that the silver-copper ratio is between 3.2 and 4 and a total amount of zinc and cadmium between 48 and 52 per cent, the zinc-cadmium ratio being between 0.7 and 1.2. A specific alloy contains 40 per cent silver, 10 per cent copper, 50 per cent of zinc and cadmium together, the zinc-cadmium ratio being 0.85.
