Abstract
A nickel-free silver solder alloy has the following composition: Ag 24.00-less than 34.00 per cent, Cu 22.00-30.00 per cent, Cd 15.00-25.00 per cent, Zn 12.50-35.00 per cent, the total content of zinc and cadmium not exceeding approximately 50 per cent. The alloy may also contain Sn from 0.50-1.50 per cent. Preferred ranges of proportions for the silver content and for the total content of zinc and cadmium are respectively 28.00-32.00 per cent and 42.00-47.00 per cent. Several specific examples of alloys within the above ranges are referred to in the Specification.
