Abstract
A solder for bonding aluminium or aluminium alloys consists of 3 to 5 per cent of silver, 75 to 90 per cent of cadmium and 6 to 10 per cent of zinc. It may also contain .08 to 2 per cent of copper with or without 0.5 to 1.5 per cent of aluminium. The above solder may be used in conjunction with a flux having the following composition:-Sodium chloride 20-35 per cent, Potassium chloride 30-40 per cent, Lithium chloride 20-35 per cent, Sodium fluoride 0-10 per cent, Sodium biborate 0-5 per cent, Zinc chloride 0-10 per cent, Cadmium chloride 0-5 per cent.
