A heat and acid resisting iron alloy has the following composition: C 0.2-2.5 per cent, Cr 14.0-30.0 per cent, Cu 1.ff0-10.0 per cent, Al 0.1-4.0 per cent, Si 1.0-6.0 per cent, Be 0.1-10.0 per cent, Fe the remainder.
