Abstract

Hot working tools are made of an alloy steel of the following composition: C 0.1-0.7 per cent, Cr 1.0-6.0 per cent, Nb 0.2-6.0 per cent, Fe, and impurities, the remainder. The alloy may also contain one or more of the following elements: W 0.2-4.0 per cent, Mo 0.2-6.0 per cent, V 0.1-3.0 per cent, Co 0.5-15.0 per cent, Ni up to 4.0 per cent, Mn up to 3.0 per cent, Cu up to 2.0 per cent, Si up to 2.0 per cent, Al 0.01-3.0 per cent. Specification 432,548 and French Specification 822,446 are referred to.
