Abstract

Alloys for making articles required to resist the action of sulphur contain at least 9 per cent of aluminium. The aluminium may be added to one or more of the metals iron, nickel, and cobalt, or to one or more of those metals and chromium. An alloy of 61 per cent of nickel, 15 per cent of chromium, 20 per cent of iron, and 4 per cent of manganese, to which aluminium is added, is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 179,306, 215,231, 216,389, 217,991, 298,408, 302,640, 302,644, and 310,119, [all in Class 82 (i), Metals, Extracting &c.].
