Abstract
An aluminium alloy contains from over 1,5 up to 3 per cent of iron, 0,7-3 per cent of magnesium, 0,3-2,5 per cent of copper, and 1-4,5 per cent of silicon, with or without less than 0,2 per cent of nickel. In making the alloy, the iron, silicon, copper and nickel may be added to aluminium in the form of aluminium alloys, the magnesium being finally added as metal. Specifications 300,078, 312,555, 323,353, and 328,138, [all in Class 82 (i), Metals, Extracting &c.], 340,331, 342,729, and 350,021 are referred to.
