Abstract

Aluminium alloys contain 3,5-5 per cent of copper, over 2 and up to 3,5 per cent of magnesium, 2-3,7 per cent of nickel, 0,05-0,7 per cent of iron, and 0,5-1,5 per cent of silicon, with or without up to 0,2 per cent of titanium and 0,3 per cent of manganese. Castings of the alloys may be heated at 150-185 DEG C. for 10-24 hours, followed by cooling in air or water. Specifications 328,138, [Class 82 (i), Metals, Extracting &c.], 340,331, 340,332, 342,729, 350,021, and 350,446 are also referred to.
