Abstract

Iron-chromium-nickel alloys contain 8-25 per cent of chromium and 12-19 per cent of nickel, with or without up to 5 per cent of manganese, up to 1 per cent of silicon, and up to 5 per cent of other metals such as copper, cobalt, vanadium, tungsten, molybdenum, and aluminium. Carbon may be present up to 0.35 per cent. An example contains about 15 per cent of chromium, 15 per cent of nickel, 0,8 per cent of manganese, 0,2 per cent of silicon, and not more than 0,2 per cent of carbon. Specification 353,448 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 13414/13, 201,914, 201,915, 232,656, 276,317, 287,876, 302,812, 313,471, and 314,176, [all in Class 82 (i), Metals, Extracting &c.].
