Abstract

An iron alloy contains 9-11,8 per cent of aluminium and up to 3,5 per cent of chromium. Preferably the aluminium content together with 40 per cent of the chromium content is not more than 11,8 per cent. Up to 0,6 per cent of carbon may be added for purposes of grain refinement, and other grain refiners such as tungsten or titanium may be used. Specifications 298,408, 302,640, 302,644, and 322,446, [all in Class 82 (i), Metals, Extracting &c.], are referred to.
