Abstract

500,200. Alloys. FINKL, W. F. Aug. 3, 1937, No. 21386. [Class 82 (i)] A ferrous alloy suitable for die-blocks concains 0À25-1 per cent of carbon, 0À25-1À5 per cent of chromium, 0À05-2À0 per cent of molybdenum, 0À5-3 per cent of nickel, and 0À5- 6À5 per cent of copper with or without up to 1 per cent of manganese or silicon or both. As the carbon content increases, the total content of chromium and molybdenum decreases and vice versa. The following vary similarly; chromium and molybdenum contents, molybdenum and nickel contents, copper and combined molybdenum and nickel contents.
