502,515. Alloys. KRUPP AKT.-GES., F. March 22, 1938, No. 8823. Convention date, Sept. 30, 1937. Drawings to Specification. [Class 82 (i)] A high-speed tool-steel contains from 1À0 to 6À0 per cent of carbon, from 1À0 to less than 4À0 per cent of molybdenum, and from 1À0 to 3À0 per cent of vanadium, the remainder consisting of iron with normal impurities and deoxidation residues. Tungsten in an amount at least equal to 50 per cent of the molybdenum content and lying between 1À0 and 4À0 per cent, and cobalt up to 10À0 per cent, may either or both also be present. Specification 502,514 is referred to.
