Abstract

139,837. Kuehnrich, P. R. Nov. 11, 1918. Alloys.-A high-speed tool steel contains 4-10 per cent of molybdenum, 2-6 per cent of chromium, and 4-9 per cent of cobalt, the amount of cobalt varying with the amount of molybdenum. An example contains 6 per cent of molybdenum, 4 per cent of chromium, 6 per cent of cobalt, and 0.6 per cent of carbon. In some cases, a small proportion of vanadium, titanium, or uranium may be added.
