Abstract

232,656. Hadfield, Sir R. A. Dec. 27, 1923. Alloys.-Iron-nickel-chromium alloys contain up to about 1 per cent of carbon, 0.4-8 per cent of manganese, 8-25 per cent of chromium, 5-17 per cent of nickel, and 7-10 per cent of silicon, with or without 1-10 per cent of tungsten or molybdenum. Up to about 6 per cent of one or more other elements such as cobalt, vanadium, titanium, or aluminium may in some cases be present.
