Abstract
221,511. Poldihutte [Firm of]. Sept. 5, 1923, [Convention date]. Alloys.-Acid-resisting steel alloys contain 9- 27 per cent of chromium and 20-25 per cent of nickel, together with over 0.35 per cent of carbon and not over 0.5 per cent each of silicon and manganese. An example contains 15 per cent of chromium, 22 per cent of nickel, 0.5 per cent of carbon, 0.3 per cent of silicon, and 0.5 per cent of manganese. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), the alloys contain 20-36 per cent of nickel, over 0.2 per cent of carbon, and not over 1 per cent of silicon or manganese or both. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
