263,811. Kohlswa Jernverks Aktiebolag. Dec. 23, 1925, [Convention date]. Alloys.-The hardness of manganese steel, such as that containing 10-15 per cent of manganese and about 1 per cent of carbon, is increased by the addition of one or more of the metals chromium, tungsten, and molybdenum, preferably about 3.7 per cent each. An example contains 13.7 per cent of manganese, 3.66 per cent of chromium, and 0.84 per cent of carbon. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that up to about 1 per cent of silicon may be present, and refers also to nickel as a metal which may be added. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 25794/03, 18834/06, and 124,817.
