Abstract

282,744. Stahlwerk Becker Akt.-Ges. Dec. 30,1926, [Convention date]. Drawings to Specification. Alloys.-In high-speed steels containing only additions of vanadium and carbon, or of vanadium, cobalt, and carbon, the carbon content is increased above 0.6 per cent for each 1 per cent. of vanadium, and by 0.04 per cent. for each 1 per cent. of cobalt. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) refers also to steels containing 18-20 per cent. of tungsten, and about 4 per cent. of chromium, as well as vanadium and cobalt. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
