Abstract
Steel alloys particularly for tools contain above 0,3 per cent of carbon, from 8 to less than 13 per cent of tungsten and 0,6-1,8 per cent of vanadium. Up to 1 per cent of molybdenum may be added and about 4 per cent of chromium may be present when the steels contain certain proportions of carbon, tungsten, vanadium and molybdenum within the ranges stated. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) includes also alloys containing 7 and 13 per cent of tungsten. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
