Abstract
A steel having high resistance against wear contains less than 0,15 per cent of carbon, 1-2 per cent of manganese, 0,65-1,5 per cent of silicon, and 0,6-1,5 per cent of copper with or without one or more of the following additions:-0,08-0,2 per cent of phosphorus, up to 2 per cent of chromium, up to 1 per cent of titanium. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises a low carbon steel containing 0,8-2 per cent of manganese, 0,4-1,5 per cent of silicon, and 0,4-1,5 per cent of copper with or without one or more of the following additions:-0,08-0,2 per cent of phosphorus, up to 2 per cent of chromium, up to 1 per cent of titanium. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 362,700.
