Abstract
Modifications of the chromium-free cobalt-containing high speed tool steels described in the parent Specification contain up to 1,5 per cent. of chromium, preferably not more than 0.5 per cent. Examples contain 0,59-1,03 per cent of carbon, 0,33-0,93 per cent of chromium, 18,1-20,76 per cent of tungsten, 1,33-2,03 per cent of vanadium, up to 0,75 per cent of molybdenum, 12,01-22,4 per cent of cobalt, and up to 1,3 per cent of tantalum. Other elements, such as titanium, uranium, boron, and beryllium, may be present. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 311,267, [Class 82 (i), Metals, Extracting &c.].
