Abstract
Articles hardened by nitrogenization are made from steel alloys free from aluminium and containing 0,05-1,7 per cent of carbon and a total of 3,1-8 per cent of one or more of the following elements: silicon, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, vanadium, titanium, and zirconium, with or without nickel and copper. Specifications 157,225, 174,580, 250,560, 269,488, 273,248, 273,575, 278,233, 288,861, and 316,614, [all in Class 82 (i), Metals, Extracting &c.], are referred to.
