Abstract
Articles which are to be subjected in use to high temperatures and pressures, such as containers, pipes, boiler parts, &c., are made from steel alloys free from aluminium, copper, and nickel, and containing less than 0,2 per cent of carbon, up to 0,8 per cent of molybdenum, and one or more of the following elements: chromium, tungsten, vanadium, silicon, and titanium. The articles are subjected to a heat-treatment consisting in quenching and annealing. Specifications 17519/07, [Class 82, Metals and alloys], 13504/10, 15173/10, 19458/11, 133,069, 150,343, 200,952, 285,051, and 290,487, [all in Class 82 (i), Metals, Extracting &c.], are referred to.
