Abstract
530,078. Alloys. SOC. ITALIANA AEROPLANI IDROVOLANTI SAVOIA-MARCHETTI. June 15. 1939, No. 17543. Convention date, July 9, 1938. [Class 82 (i)] An alloy steel for structural purposes contains 0.16-0.19 per cent. of carbon, 1.3-1.7 per cent. of manganese, 0.1-0.3 per cent. of silicon, 0.6-1 per cent. of chromium, 0.3-1 per cent. of molybdenum, and 0.3-0.8 per cent. of vanadium. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, the the ranges of carbon, manganese, and silicon are wider. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
