Abstract

289,075. Molybdenum Corporation of America, (Assignees of Greene, H. L., and Taylor, C.). April 21, 1927, [Convention date]. Alloys.-A cast iron alloy contains about 1-4 per cent of carbon, 0.5-2.5 per cent of silicon, 1-4 per cent of nickel, and up to 1 per cent of molybdenum, without any other intentionally added constituents. Sulphur, phosphorus, and manganese may be present as impurities, and not more than 25 per cent of metals such as chromium. vanadium, and copper may be included if these are constituents of scrap used in making the alloy. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 245,916.
