297,420. Krupp Akt.-Ges., F. Sept. 21, 1927, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Tempering.-Steel alloys contain about 9-17 per cent of manganese, 0.8-1.7 per cent of carbon, and up to 5 per cent of aluminium. One or more of the metals nickel, chromium, tungsten, or molybdenum, and vanadium may be added. The alloys may be heated to about 1000‹ C. and cooled quickly.
