A carburized bearing member is formed of an alloy steel having a composition, in per cent by weight, in the following range: C 0.16-0.21, Cr 1.25-1.65, Mn 0.5-0.7, Mo 0.9-1.1, Si 0.9-1.25, Fe and impurities the balance.
