Abstract
An alloy consists of .15.to 30% Cr .5.to 15% W .0.5.to 5% Nb .0.1.to 1.3% C .0.01.to 0.2% B .balance.Co There may also be present one or more of the following. Ta with Nb, together not exceeding 20%, the Nb exceeding 3%, or Ta with Nb, Ta being less than 2 Nb and Nb not exceeding 3%, Mo not exceeding 1/2 W and no more than 3.5%, 1.5% Si; and 5% Ni and/or Fe.
