Abstract

619,794. Screwdrivers. GREB, W. Dec. 24, 1946, No. 37849. [Class 61 (iii)] A screw-holding screwdriver comprises two spring arms 8 having their ends welded at 81 to a bush 7 threaded at its lower end to screw on a threaded head 5 near the blade 3 of the screwdriver 1 so that by rotating the latter the spring arms are longitudinally adjustable and a sliding clamping sleeve 9 by means of which the jaws 16, 16<SP>1</SP>, on the ends of the spring arms are clamped around the stem under the head 18. Stop pins are provided in the ring 11 at the end of the clamping sleeve 9 adapted to contact a flange 7<SP>1</SP> at the end of the bush 7 to prevent complete withdrawal of the latter from the clamping sleeve.
