972,449. Wrenches. C. F. SEXTON. Oct. 8, 1963 [Oct. 29, 1962], No. 40754/62. Heading B4W. A wrench for starting the rotation of a tap body that has become fixed in position on a base, comprises a pair of pivoted jaws 2, 7 shaped internally to grip the nut 4, a screw 12 pivoted at 9 to the tail of the jaw 7, the screw passing through a support bracket 14 mounted on a plate 15 which may be clamped to the tap outlet part 1, and an internally screw-threaded sleeve 18 on the screw which on rotation gives axial movement to the screw. On the screw being drawn into the sleeve the jaws are first tightened on to the nut 4, continued rotation causing the nut to turn. The bracket 14 has a pivotal movement to facilitate mounting the tool.
