576,141. Vices. STEELE, G. A. March 6, 1944, No. 4151. [Class 61 (ii)] A pipe vice comprises a lower jaw 7 mounted on brackets 4 secured to the bench 2 by screws 3 in line with the pipe 11 and an. upper jaw 12 with one end swingable about a .pivoted bolt 9 and the other end bifurcated to engage another pivoted bolt 9a and held down by a U-section locking member 17 swingable about the bolt 9a, the bifurcated parts 12 and 17 being oppositely toothed at 14, 18 and pressure applied on the pipe by nuts 16, 19. Specification 462,407 is referred to.
