[Class 61(iii)] A worm adjustment wrench has a conical worm 8 mounted on an inclined axis 7 and held in engagement with the rack teeth 3 by a spring 9, the worm thread and rack teeth being chamfered on one side so as to ride over one another permitting the sliding jaw 4 to be pushed forward up to the nut.
