Sliding-jaw wrenches. -An adjustable wrench comprises a handle A having a fixed jaw provided with a slot to receive the shank B of the loose jaw, teeth F, G on the upper and lower faces respectively of the slot adapted to be engaged by teeth on the corresponding edges of the shank B, and a stud C fixed to the shank and passing through the base of the fixed jaw and fitted with a spring washer D and nut E for clamping the loose jaw in adjusted positions.
