Nutcrackers comprise a pair of handles A, B connected by a toggle link C and carrying jaws a, b in fixed relation to the handles, the jaws being shaped as shown in Fig. 1. The inter-jaw space may be adjustable by a member F, Fig. 3, in screw-threaded engagement with one jaw. Serrations K are provided on the handles.
