Abstract

246,684. Baker, A. R., and Baker, W. March 4, 1925. Rivet extractors.-A tool for extracting rivets from cycle &c. chains, comprises a body a having slotted sides in which operate jaws j pivoted at f and provided with handles e to close the jaws so as to embrace the roller or rivet between the link cheeks. The upper faces of the jaws then support one of the link cheeks, while the rivet is forced therethrough by a screw h mounted in an extension g of the body, the screws h being perpendicular to the plane of the jaws j. According to the Provisional Specification the jaws may be closed by spring pressure, the handles e being omitted.
