333,103. Powell, G. Oct. 11, 1929. Pivoted-jaw wrenches; handles; jaw faces.- A pipe wrench comprises a steel tubular lever 3 flattened at the upper end and secured in the jaw 2 by rivets 5, a jaw 1 pivoted to the lever at 4 .and a rod 7 pressed forward by a spring 6 and carrying rollers 9 pressing on the edges of the jaw 1 to keep the latter engaged with the work. A notch 10 in the edge of the jaw 1 co-operates with the rollers 9 to hold the jaw open to its full extent.
