Rigid-jaw wrenches; retaining in engagement. - Box spanners or wrenches of the kind in which the nut is gripped by a spring d passing through a slot a in the box spanner c, are so constructed that the axes of the shank e, the box c, and a fluted cylindrical handle on the shank e are all coincident, so that the device can be used and axial pressure applied whilst the device is held in one hand.
