Abstract

191,619. Wallis, H. Jan. 18, 1922. Toasting-apparatus.-A reversible toasting- device comprises arms 8, 9 hinged together at 13 and provided with depending serrated ends 10, 11 which grip the bread when the arms are closed by slots in plates 5 hinged at 4 to the springbow handle member 2. The arms 8, 9 pass through the slots 6, 7. and when the bow 2 is expanded, as in Fig. 3, the ends 10, 11 grip the bread. On pressing the ends of the bow inwards the slots 6, 7 open the arms 8, 9 and the bread is released.
