Abstract

Nutcrackers comprise handle members a, a<1>, pivoted at b, with links d, d<1> pivotally connected intermediate their ends to the ends of the handles and to one another, at e, and shaped as shown to provide apertures x, y for large and small nuts respectively, the sides of the links d, d' being serrated or otherwise formed to grip the nuts. Very small nuts may be cracked between the handles a, a<1> below the pivot b. The links d, d<1> or the handles a<1>, a may be provided with stop means to prevent the handles from coming too close together.
