Sliding - jaw wrenches; handles; jaw faces. - The handle member B of an adjustable spanner is formed with a longitudinal guide groove C at each side to receive the slide bars D of the movable jaw A, the flat adjustment screw F being supported in a slot E in the jaw member B. The adjustment nut G working on the screw F engages openings H in the slide bars D. In a modification the handle extends at an angle from the member B and other modifications comprise different forms of jaw faces.
